Stainless Steel Encoders from Leine & Linde

Strängnäs, Sweden – In consideration of machines and equipment used in harsh environments, Leine & Linde now offer stainless steel versions of all their measurement fieldbus encoders with shaft. Available interfaces are PROFIBUS, PROFINET, DeviceNet™ and CANopen.
Conventional rotary encoders are not suitable for harsh environments where corrosive agents are found. This is the case in many industries in which the encoders are exposed to an atmosphere of moisture and chemicals. Such environments will result in corrosion of the encoders’ mechanical parts and may cause loss in operation.
