Misumi to Hold Technical Seminars at ATX West

Schaumburg, IL — Misumi USA, Inc. announced that it will offer a series of free technical seminars on the value of specifying configurable components to engineering professionals attending the 2010 ATX West show in Anaheim.

The seminar entitled “Designing a Better Machine Faster With the Configurable Component“ will be repeated on each day of the show from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Misumi’s Hospitality Suite, Meeting Room 201B and C, in the Anaheim Convention Center. In addition to the morning seminar, Misumi engineers will feature brief technical presentations every afternoon as well. Complimentary refreshments will be offered.
Leading the seminars are Misumi USA’s Engineering Manager Chris Blaszczyk, noted author and mechanical engineer, and Mike Melone, also a Misumi mechanical engineer and author of numerous articles for the product design and development industry press.
According to Blaszczyk, the Configuration Tech Seminar is designed to help engineers overcome the time and performance pressures they typically experience during machine design/builds. “Our goal is to demonstrate through real-world examples and targeted exercises how the process can be streamlined with a practical, cost-effective approach that boosts engineering efficiency and productivity. Attendees will discover how incorporating configurable components can save significant time and costs by minimizing reliance on custom-made parts.”

MISUMI to Hold Contest at ATX West Show

Schaumburg, IL — Misumi USA announced that it will be holding a contest titled, “Go Configure” at the upcoming ATX West show in Anaheim, CA on February 10-12, 2009 in Booth Number 4601. The contest is Co-Sponsored by Design World Magazine and contest ballots will be available in the show issue of Design World magazine as well as the Misumi and Design World show booths.
A daily 3PM drawing for a $50.00 American Express Gift Card will take place at the Misumi booth. In addition to the daily prize, a First Prize of a $200.00 American Express Gift Card, Second Prize of an iPod Nano and the Grand Prize of an iPod Touch will be awarded during the 3PM daily drawing on the last day of the show, Thursday, February 12, 2009.
