Misumi Expands its Ball Bearings Portfolio

Misumi USA, Inc. announces an expansion to its portfolio of Ball Bearings. These components, which reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads, are commonly used in machinery and equipment across the agricultural, automotive, aerospace, general industrial, medical device, and packaging industries.

Misumi Ball Bearings

Among the new Ball Bearing products introduced in MISUMI’s 2011 Metric Catalog of Mechanical Components are:

Deep Groove, Double Shielded – Economy Type
Deep Groove with Flange – Multiple new specs have been added.
Deep Groove, Single Shielded
Deep Groove, Double Shielded with C3 Clearance – Radial clearance is larger than standard products. Especially well-suited for tight joining fit and potential temperature difference between outer and inner rings.
Deep Groove, Contact Sealed, Stainless Steel – Made of 440C SS with NBR (nitrile rubber) seal. Offers better moisture and dust resistance than standard open, double shielded and non-contact sealed styles.
Deep Groove, Small, Double Shielded – Economy Type. Multiple new Contact Sealed styles have been added to Non-Contact Sealed styles.
Deep Groove, Small, Open
One-Way Clutches – Feature bearings at both ends of the clutch to support radial loads. Clutch locks in one direction and free spins in the other direction.
Self-Aligning Ball Bearings – Self-alignment feature enables the ability to tolerate mounting misalignment and deflection during rotation. Suitable for use in drive shafts which tend to deflect, or where precise alignment of shaft and housing are difficult.
Deep Groove with Groove – Three different styles in 440C Stainless Steel: V-Groove, SZU U-Groove, and SZG G-Groove.

MISUMI launches medium/heavy load Linear Guides for automation and motion control

MISUMI USA, Inc. (http://us.misumi-ec.com), a fully-owned subsidiary of MISUMI Corporation (www.misumi.co.jp), is proud to launch several new products to add to its expansive line of configurable Linear Guides for motion control equipment and machinery.

The all-new Linear Guides from MISUMI will include: SX2RD (dual block) and SXRD (single block) Heavy Load, and SV2RD (dual block) and SVRD (single block) Medium Load versions which are double-sealed, along with an added side seal to enhance sealing as well as preventing any intrusion of machining chips, dust or other debris into the guide rail. The double-sealed versions of SX2RK (dual block) and SXRK (single block) Heavy Load, and SV2RK (dual block) and SVRK (single block) Medium Load provide a metal scraper integrated in the external side seal that automatically remove any large pieces of hot welding spatter or foreign material from the guide rail.

Ruggedly constructed of carbon steel, these Linear Guides can be precisely configured to a wide range of specifications such as height, length, load rating, and tapped hole machining.

Moreover, MISUMI offers a comprehensive line of advanced and standard Linear Guides in multiple configurations and sizes to add to the new dust-proof heavy and medium load versions. These include long and wide blocks, interchangeable, small clearance and preload types. All of the Linear Guides from MISUMI can operate under a temperature range from -20°C to 80°C, and are designed to precise dimensional tolerances. The Linear Guides can be selected and configured by design engineers to their specific requirements relative to thrust, friction resistance, load, and rated life span, conveniently using calculations and tables provided in MISUMI’s online or print Metric Catalog.

Posts and Clamps for Automation and Motion Control Machinery

Schaumburg, IL — Misumi USA, Inc. has introduced a series of new products to its comprehensive lines of Posts, Stands and Clamps.

The new additions, which can be configured to suit a variety of applications, are designed to make it faster and easier to securely mount devices, such as CCD cameras and photoelectric sensors, used by machine designers and builders of automated assembly, inspection and testing systems.

Misumi Posts and Clamps

Features and functionality of the new Misumi components include:

–>Posts With Scale (Part Number GSSTN) – These stand posts are constructed of 304 Stainless Steel. Laser metric scale markings enable precise positioning of mounted devices, which with the help of a Misumi Strut Clamp, can be adjusted or re-positioned for quick and easy changeover. Post with Scale diameters range from 10 to 25 mm; while overall length ranges from 100 to 300 mm.

–>Post Clamps for mounting of photoelectric sensors (Part Numbers KSYK, KSYM and KSYS) – These strut clamps are directly mountable to commonly specified photoelectric sensors, with pitches corresponding to sensors supplied by Omron (E3Z), Keyence (PZ), and Sunx (CX). Material choices include 304 Stainless Steel or 1018 Carbon Steel with either Black Oxide or Electroless Nickel Plating.

–>Post Clamps, Turning Prevention Vertical Tapped, for camera mounting – These strut clamps have a turning prevention feature allowing adjustments in Z direction with a simple turn of the knob, while preventing movement in a rotary direction. They are available in three different types: Set (Part Numbers KBYKS, KBYMS, KBYSS); Single Strut Clamp (Part Numbers KBYK, KBYM, KBYS); and Single Post with a flat especially designed for this purpose (Part Number KDYM). Material choices include 304 Stainless Steel or 1018 Carbon Steel with either Black Oxide or Electroless Nickel Plating. Accompanying posts (unscaled) are available in 304 Stainless Steel and in 1018 Carbon Steel with Electroless Nickel Plating.
