Shimpo Drives announces its new STH servo-driven rotary actuator. STH is a mid-performance rotary actuator that sets a new price/performance point in rotary positioning.

A Shimpo Able servo reducer is the interface between the servo motor and STH output actuator. Able features simple mounting of nearly any small to medium servo motor and gives the complete STH package net ratios ranging from 12:1 through 324:1.
STH’s very large crossed roller output bearing allows for impressive thrust loads and tilting moments. A generous hollow through-bore allows wiring or tubing to be passed through to effectors, fillers, or other active machinery.

Itasca, IL – Shimpo Drives introduces its VRG product line in North America. VRG is a heavy duty high precision reducer designed to fit well on rotary tables, tool changers, pick and place robots, and many other applications requiring high precision speed reduction.

VRG offers low backlash – 1 arc-min is available – and a hub-style bolt-on output. Quiet modern helical gearing and a very large cross-roller output bearing provide the torque, with high radial and thrust ratings. An optional bolt-in output shaft is available if preferred.

Itasca, IL – Shimpo Drives is proud to announce the introduction of its new servo speed reducer product, the Able VRAL Series.

Offered in concentric shaft, with a maximum 5 arc-min backlash rating, the VRAL is Shimpo’s heavy-duty servo reducer product. The VRAL offers long life with high duty ratings and impressive output torque. VRAL is also the ideal choice when switching brands, as it offers drop-in mounting dimensions for one of the more popular servo reducer mounting method.
The Able VRAL Gear Reducer is the perfect solution for servomotor applications such as packaging machines, gantries, injection molding machines, pick and place, and linear slides
VRAL was officially introduced at Pack Expo 2008 in Chicago. Shimpo’s existing VRAF servo reducer will remain as the medium-duty product line that has become a popular alternative, since its 2004 introduction.
