Eaton (www.eaton.com) has announced the release of its latest line of operator interfaces designed to provide optimum connectivity – the XV and XP Series.
The series has been specifically engineered to provide original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) flexibility in communications, applications and design. These new interfaces have been rated for global applications in a light-weight, slim OEM design and offer a vast array of Ethernet and serial connectivity options. Designed with the latest operator interface solutions, the XV and XP Series allows easy creation of web-based applications for the manufacturing environment to reduce maintenance costs, enhance the ability to diagnose faults in the machine, improve process effectiveness and prevent downtime.
“Eaton provides OEMs with comprehensive solutions that help control equipment, reduce downtime and increase efficiency,” said Amy M. Beaudry, Eaton’s Product Manager. “The XV and XP Series of operator interfaces provide high-performance platforms for global applications that require extensive connectivity.”
Every unit has been equipped with the company’s Visual Designer software, which has been specifically enhanced for OEMs and designed for interoperability, security and simplicity. Aside from being intuitive and powerful, the series allows fast implementation and design of graphical user interface (GUI) solutions. Installation costs are dramatically reduced thanks to the series’ time saving, easy-to-use features. The interfaces are elegantly designed to allow easy implementation of features, such as the recipe management, data archiving, multi-language, web serving and Structured Query Language (SQL) database access.
Eaton’s XV and XP Series are offered in various screen sizes, starting from 3.5-inch to 15-inch and a blind node. All models come with both serial and Ethernet ports. The series also offer various connectivity and memory options including CompactFlash, Secure Digital (SD), multiple Ethernet ports and USB.
