Emerson adds Rosemount pressure, temperature transmitters to its Profibus offering

Emerson Process Management (www.emersonprocess.com) has added the Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter and Rosemount 644 temperature transmitter – both offered with PROFIBUS PA profile V3.02,– to its PROFIBUS offering. With its complete offering of Profibus solution, Emerson now makes it easy for customers to have a single protocol for the whole plant.

As an addition to the Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter, PROFIBUS PA consistently continues to release industry first capabilities with a Local Operator Interface (LOI) with simple configuration and addressing at the transmitter. PROFIBUS PA is offered on the complete Rosemount 3051 group of products together with 3051L level transmitters and 3051CF flowmeters.

Rosemount 644 has also added Profibus to its platform, making it easier for the versatile DIN A Head Mount model to suit customers’ needs. PROFIBUS PA enables users to experience the advantage of having Rosemount 644 temperature transmitter, which comes with custom addressing capability.

Emerson products aim to provide customers with the highest level of interoperability. To achieve this, the company has designed and tested their products to open standards. Emerson devices are designed to communicate effectively with hosts to provide open, complete and interoperable access to achieve information and functionality. Emerson’s Profibus specialists are certified and well trained to provide support on any Emerson devices.

The AMS Suite Intelligent Device Manager and DeltaV(TM) digital automation system, Rosemount flow, temperature and pressure transmitters, Micro Motion Coriolis mass flowmeters and Fisher control valves and now available in the collection of PROFIBUS supported interoperable products of Emerson.
