Fanuc Factory Automation America (FANUC FA America) (www.fanucfa.com) has unveiled its latest Series 30i/31i-L MODEL B high-speed laser controls, which provides optimum support to high speed laser processing.

Even when processing thin gage materials at extremely high speeds, the new Series 30i/31i-L MODEL B CNCs can provide seamless choreography between power modulation and axes motion. It offers technological features that translate to superior accuracy and cut quality, which enables it to deliver premium quality parts.

It comes with an Ethernet interface that allows users to conveniently integrate the CNC control system into a network. This allows it to deliver high-speed part program transfers or easier data collection. Remote maintenance, diagnosis and online training are now possible, since the Series 30i/31i-L MODEL B CNCs also has the capability to set up worldwide links via the internet. Its integrated Ethernet interface does not utilize a public operating system, which makes it immune to viruses and “hacker-free”.

The new Series 30i/31i-L MODEL B CNCs offer superior technology, outstanding performance, and impressive gains in power modulation and processing speeds that translates to increased edge quality and shorter cycle times. With an update rate of 125 microseconds, it is 40 times faster than the rate which a neuron can travel within the human brain.

The Series 30i/31i-L MODEL B offers a maximum internal memory of 8 MB. This allows users to store constant inventory nests, without the need of a network access to activate during surplus machine availability.
