Minnesota Electric Technology (MET) has developed a family of high-current brushed DC motors in a 3.6 in. frame size.
These high-current DC motors are available in both 12 and 24 VDC models. The 12 VDC model develops 500 watts (0.67 hp) continuous output power at 2,000 rpm, while the 24 VDC model achieves 750 watts (1.0 hp) continuous output power at 2,400 rpm. These motors use new brush materials that safely allow them to operate at higher current levels and still maintain their rugged construction in the smaller frame size.
