Koford Engineering introduces 45 amp 48 volt digital sensorless drive

April 21, 2021 By Kelsey Zebrowski Leave a Comment

Koford Engineering LLC has introduced a new 45 amp 48 volt sensorless drive with unique characteristics. This drive can operate over a 80:1 speed range, mush broader then the usual 3:1 to 5:1. It also features ultra low EMI. It has a 99% efficiency and operation up to 200,000 rpm with a two pole motor is possible. The drive provides a tach output to measure motor rpm and also a brake function. Operation at high altitude or in a vacuum is possible. Braking modules are available for applications where the power source cannot accept regenerated power from the load. The drive is suitable for standard and also low inductance motors including slotless designs. The drive is 3.73″ x 5.06″ x .934″ and weighs 6.5 oz. For more information, visit koford.com.
