
Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. announced that Scott Summerville, president and CEO, will retire after a 46-year career in the automation and industrial technology industry. He will step down from his executive role and from the company’s board of directors effective March 31, 2026.

As part of the recently announced reorganization, Mitsubishi Electric has appointed Milton Coleman senior vice president and general manager of the newly created Industrial Automation Division of Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Coleman will lead Mitsubishi Electric Automation until the integration is complete, then oversee strategy, operations and growth for the new Industrial Automation Division across the Americas.
Coleman most recently served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for Mitsubishi Electric Automation, where he led the sales and marketing organization in the Americas and worked with customers and channel partners to support the company’s market position.
