Pattyn Packing Lines compact packaging module, known as Model Ceflex-21 features EL7031 and EL7041 stepper motor terminals from Beckhoff, to control the stepper motors utilized on the machine.
Controlled by a Beckhoff CX1010 Embedded PC, the Ceflex-21 also comes with standard I/O terminals and operates at speeds of up to 12 cases per minute. It can automatically pull a bag from a roll, erect corrugated cases via vacuum suction, open the bag and place it into the formed case. In addition, the new packaging module can also be easily integrated into the customer’s current packing line or a fully automated Pattyn packaging line.
The openness of the PC controller makes it easy for the company to manufacture custom machine while the stepper motor driven system replaces the rigid compressed-air driven system commonly used for case forming as well as the opening and insertion of the bags.
