Motion Control Tips – Top 6 posts of 2019

December 19, 2019 By Miles Budimir Leave a Comment

It’s that time of year again; time to look back, as we humans are prone to do, on the year quickly fading in the rearview mirror. Here at motioncontroltips.com, we like to look back at some of the top posts published in 2019. This represents what you, our readers, clicked on the most throughout the year.

And so, without further delay, here is our list of the top posts of 2019, starting with Number 6 and building our way to Number 1.

Number 6 –>   What is nested vector interrupt control (NVIC)?

In a microcontroller, such as those at the heart of industrial motion controllers, interrupts serve as a way to immediately divert the central processing unit from its current task to another, more important task. An interrupt can be triggered internally from the microcontroller (MCU) or externally, by a peripheral. The interrupt alerts the central processing unit (CPU) to an occurrence such as a time-based event (a specified amount of time has elapsed or a specific time is reached, for example), a change of state, or the start or end of a process.
