New flush-mount housing for Banner Q4X sensor expands application possibilities

October 20, 2016 By Miles Budimir Leave a Comment

The new flush mount configuration of the Q4X Laser Measurement Sensor provides more integration possibilities and greater installation flexibility, especially in applications with tight space requirements. These models offer the same superior performance, ambient light resistance and durability of standard Q4X models and are capable of detecting sub-millimeter changes in distances ranging from 35 to 310 mm.

The Q4X sensors detect across a variety of target colors, materials and surfaces based on distance. The dual teach mode (intensity + distance) is ideal for error-proofing applications and enables clear object detection with no retro-reflector required.

The robust housing is rated to IP69K with FDA-grade stainless steel and the rugged design resists mechanical impact, over tightening and extreme vibration.

The Q4X series includes models available with discrete, analog (0 to 10 V or 4 to 20 mA), clear object, and IO-Link options.
