Control Microsystems Inc. (“CMI”) unveiled a pad-wide optimization solution combining plunger lift and Electronic Flow Measurement (“EFM”) for 30 plus wells per pad, the new SCADAPack ProductionPLUS. It leverages the flexibility and functionality of Control Microsystems’ product suite to give gas operators an efficient wired or wireless Sensor to enterprise application.
SCADAPack ProductionPLUS is a software solution and integrated hardware made to improve environmental compliance, extend the life cycle of the well, and increase safety.
The new SCADAPack ProductionPLUS operates in all SCADAPack 4203 gas flow computers (“GFC”) and 300-Series controllers. It is ideally suited to support EFM and production optimization applications while doing monitoring and control tasks. When the SCADAPack 4203 is utilized at each wellhead, it gives a distributed intelligence architecture, which addresses the downside of featuring one point of failure in a traditional pad-wide optimization. Moreover, a powerful, built-in programmable logic controller (“PLC”) allows the 4203 to store and generate more than 4000 data records per meter run. Its internal digital output can be utilized to control the sales valve.
The new SCADAPack ProductionPLUS Manager is a powerful, windows-based PC environment allowing operators to simply configure each wellhead, to reduce error associated with legacy or traditional plunger lift systems. The ProductionPLUS Manager features three operating modes serving the life cycle of each well: complete plunger lift control, intermitter mode and manual mode.
“As gas operators face downward pressure on margins and increasing environmental regulations, SCADAPack ProductionPLUS was designed to directly tackle these issues,” said Product Strategy Vice President Dale Symington. “Integration with our Accutech wireless instruments significantly reduces deployment costs while the product’s environmental-centric features, including tank level monitoring and pad-wide shutdown, improve environmental compliance.”
Also, SCADAPack ProductionPLUS improves safety in the field. Its wireless sensors reduce injuries and eliminate manual data gathering, specifically with wellhead pressure in the flow-back period.
