New online configuration tool STOBER FITS for design

October 5, 2015 By Lisa Eitel Leave a Comment

STOBER Inc. recently released STOBER FITS, an online motion-design configuration tool that lets engineers quickly and easily specify and select STOBER power-transmission and control products.STOBER-FITS-tool-and-configuration-online-for-specifying

The focus of the tool is to improve overall customer experience — expediting selection, sizing and specification processes for engineers through a unified and convenient online process.

Determining what STOBER product is needed and ordering it typically requires several steps, including specifying a mounting position, paint coating, and more information that is not included in a part number. The intent to improve this process and the growing trend in digital tools is what drove STOBER to create their online configuration tool, STOBER FITS.

Following are some images of STOBER components that Design World staff saw last week at Pack Expo 2015. Many of the subsystems are now configurable through STOBER FITS. More after the gallery.

“We want to simplify the process of selecting your STOBER solution,” said Clayton Webber, National ServoFit Sales Manager. “Customers should be able to learn about our products and find what they need without being a STOBER expert.”

STOBER FITS has been live since April with inline motion-control products. Using simple questions, clear images, and intuitive navigation, a customer can easily find what he or she needs. Once configured, the user can share the configuration with others, save it, or request a quote or drawing. Right angle products are now available; additional products and power-transmission will come to STOBER FITS soon.

For more information on STOBER FITS, email Amy Appelman.

STOBER Drives Inc. was established in 1991, in Maysville, Kentucky to manufacture and assemble gearboxes for the North American market. We are responsible for supplying gear solutions for the servo and power transmission markets. STOBER solutions include gear reducers and servo motors. For more information, visit stober.com.

STOBER also participates as an Encompass (Americas) Product Partner in the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork.  Through Encompass Product Partners, customers can quickly locate complementary products that best solve any application challenges. These products are critical components or connectivity solutions that extend and enhance Rockwell Automation installations.  As an Encompass Partner, STOBER offers NEMA input and precision gearboxes and servo motors.
