NI’s PXIe-8135 offers industry leading performance

October 17, 2012 By Motion Control Tips Editor Leave a Comment

National Instruments has recently unveiled the NI PXIe-8135 embedded controller, which features USB 3.0 connectivity and the quad-core third generation Intel Core i7 processor, making it the fastest PXI embedded controller in the industry.

Using the efficient PXIe-8135 embedded controller, engineers can attain shorter test times and higher automated test throughput. This further advances PXI instrumentation for high performance test, control and measurement applications.

Delivering an industry-leading performance, the latest PXIe-8135 embedded controller is efficiently suitable for various applications that need intensive data analysis or processing.

Compared to other PXI embedded controllers available in the market, the PXIe-8135 boasts a set of benefits, which include a quad-core third generation Intel Core i7-3610QE processor with up to3.3 GHz clock frequency. Second, the PXIe-8135 has 85 percent better performance than NI’s previous-generation embedded controller thanks to this processor.

Aside from that, the USB 3.0 connectivity delivers up to 10 times faster instrument communication for storing and transferring data externally.

On top of that, the PXIe-8135 embedded controller also features four PCI Express x4 Gen 2 links interface that offer up to eight GB/s of system throughput for applications that require high-bandwidth streaming.
