Power over Ethernet (PoE) Splitter from N-TRON

n-tron-poe-splitter

Mobile, AL – N-TRON has enhanced its iPOE family of industrial hardened power over Ethernet (PoE) devices with a new PoE Splitter. The 100-POE-SPL enables products that would otherwise require a dedicated power drop to be deployed with only a Cat5 cable. A PoE sourcing device such as N-TRON’s 100-POE-4 Midspan or 105TX-POE endspan provides PoE via a Cat5 cable, and at the other end of the Cat5 the 100-POE-SPL splits the power and Ethernet in order to power a legacy non-PoE device. This solution is ideal in situations where it would be difficult or expensive to run power, or for a temporary installation.

With a 2 Million hour MTBF design, superior operating temperature range of -40ºC to 85ºC, redundant power inputs, shock resistance, ESD protection, and RFI immunity, the 100-POE-SPL is a rugged device designed for tough industrial environments. It can be used to provide power to video cameras, wireless access points, access control devices such as card readers as well as other devices located in areas where power is not readily accessible. The 100-POE-SPL is capable of providing 15.4 watts of power, the maximum allowable under the IEEE 802.3af specification, and is available with outputs of 12, 24, and 48VDC.
