The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) sees slowing but continued growth in 2015. The organization’s 1Q2015 Business Index reading is 67.7 … higher than the 4Q2014 reading of 66.4.
That’s a slight increase in growth. The index reading indicates the rate of change compared with the previous period. For example, a reading of 50 indicates no change from the prior period; readings above 50 indicate growth and readings below 50 indicate contraction.
Get the report at ptda.org/index; it includes distributor and manufacturer breakout data and historical data. The PTDA Business Index is similar to the Purchasing Managers Index and tracks change in business activity, new orders, employment, supplier deliveries, inventories, prices and backlog in the PT/MC industry to arrive at an overall index.
The PTDA provides networking, targeted education, information and leading-edge business tools to help distributors and manufacturers meet marketplace demands competitively and profitably. For more information, visit ptda.org or follow the organization on Twitter at @PTDAorg or LinkedIn.
