QCI adds SilverSterling OEM line of Drives

November 18, 2010 By Miles Budimir Leave a Comment

Covina, Cal. – QuickSilver Controls, Inc. had added the SilverSterling controller to its line of controllers/drivers for NEMA 11, 17, and 23 frame brushless servo motors, DC brush motors and voice-coil actuators, providing a 5A RMS continuous drive with 7A peak at 12 to 48V.

The SilverSterling provides RS-232, RS-485 and CAN communications ports, supporting DMX, MODbusTM RTU, and CANopen®, ASCII and Binary protocols.

OEM expansion is provided via a 60-pin header including support for a second serial port, two SPITM ports, an I2C port, and multiple analog, digital and PWM I/O. The SilverSterling is available as the QCI-S2-IG with an extruded housing/heatsink which has been designed to easily accommodate custom/user specific expansion circuit boards. It is also available as an open-format PCB, QCI-S2-IG-01. Contact the factory for quantity pricing and availability.
