Rattunde (www.rattunde-corp.com) has unveiled the ACS+CFMcurve Integrated Sawing and Machining Center, which makes use of servo motors, custom-developed software and sophisticated electronics to control the saw blade throughout the cutting process. A proprietary sawing algorithm generates the fastest saw cutting time, longest saw blade life and best surface finish available in the market, as well as overall reduced costs.
The CFMcurve machining center is a process that simultaneously machines every workpiece end with the use of 12 independent servo-controlled axes. CFMcurve machining options comprise angled chamfering, radius edges, grooving, profile turning, boring and threading. A programming screen is provided to guide operators for fast setup even of the most complex part geometry. It also requires no special programming.
Precision parts are created in one continuous process without operator involvement. Bundles of mill length stock (up to 16.5m long) are positioned in an automatic loader that are individually separated and then fed to the sawing process. Cut parts are then transferred to the CFMcurve for precise finishing. Using advanced controls, servo motors and linear ball screws, all mechanical motion is integrated into the machine for full-process control.
The technology delivers production rates and high quality that are unmatched by competitors. Its machined length tolerance of +/- 0.05mm at 1.67CPK and cut length tolerance of +/- 0.15mm at 1.67CPK are maintained.
The ACS+CFMcurve is also available in two models with diameter ranging from 10m to 136mm and 10mm to 102mm, with finished part lengths from 10mm to 3500mm. This machine can process all types of material.
