SEW-EURODRIVE offers IEC Compliant Motors and Gearmotors

SEW-EURODRIVE (www.seweurodrive.com) offers a new range of motors and geared motors that effectively live up the latest Australian Minimum Efficiency Performance Standard (MEPS) standards.

Designed to meet all worldwide energy efficiency classes, the SEW-EURODRIVE DR motor series provides the finest motor solution for direct mains as well as frequency inverter operating conditions. This motor series is also capable of expanding into many options and features.

The DR motor series caters to a wide range of applications and industries worldwide, with stator winding that is designed to meet requirements for mains voltage and frequency.

With the AC asynchronous motors DR series, the DR motor variants could surpass the requirements of IEC 60034-30 efficiency regulations. It comes in Type DRS (Standard efficiency IE1), Type DRE (High efficiency IE2), and Type DRP (Premium efficiency IE3)

The device also offers simple configuration of all motor variants from a single series. Additionally, space and cost are reduced due to its compact design.

Other motor options include motor-integrated brake combinations, cost-optimized built-in encoders, temperature sensors and temperature detection devices and brake applications and wear sensors. Moreover, the motors offer external ventilation, sealed bearings and connection plugs.

With the safe and straightforward Gear Units and Motors rolled into one modular system, users can choose from helical, helical worm, helical bevel or Spiroplan design, which are confidently driven by the SEW-EURODRIVE motor range as well as the IEC and Nema compliant motors that come with an adaptor.

It could effectively cover a power range of 50 to 18,000 Nm. Notably, both the permissible overhung loads, along with the torque are impressively high relative to the structural volume.
