Sinusoid Pty Ltd (store.sinusoid.com) has unveiled its latest encoders, RPE1 and RPE2, which deliver continuous monitoring of rotation angle for a maximum speed of 7500 rpm, making them ideally suited for applications such as process control, CNC, robotics and consumer electronics.
Although they differ in their output format, both RPE1 and RPE2 models feature 10-bit output resolution and are magnetically coupled, hall-effect rotary encoders.
With an output range of zero to 100 percent of the supply voltage, the RPE1 rotary encoder offers absolute analog output of a voltage which is directly proportional to the shaft’s angle and increasing linearly in a clockwise direction.
Meanwhile, the RPE2 rotary encoder comes with an absolute PWM with index channel and dual outputs of incremental quadrature. Depending on rotation direction, the quadrature channels A and B are both out of phase by 90 degrees, while the PWM channel offers1024 different positions.
Available with shaft sizes of either 8 mm or 6.35 mm (1/4”) diameter, both models feature robustly constructed anodized aluminum body and dual 8 mm ID ball bearings for shaft support.
Mounting is by flange mount with 3 x M3 screws while body dimensions are at 31 mm x 30 mm diameter.
Sinusoid’s RPE models are ideally suited for applications with maximum speeds of 7500 rpm, depending on the required ingress protection.
“These new RPE encoders are quality products, made in Australia at a competitive price,” said Mark Vitnell, Director of Sinusoid Pty Ltd.
