SMTCL-Americas held its 4th Annual Open House to showcase Marposs, Index Designs, Fanuc, Siemens, and more offerings

SMTCL-Americas held its 4th Annual Open House at its Technical Center in City of Industry, Calif., on April 6th 2017.

The Open House featured discounts on machines, cutting demonstrations, and specialists from a variety of companies including Marposs, Index Designs, SurfCam, Fanuc, Siemens, CimCool, and Golden West Lubricants.

“This event was a great opportunity for Customers to talk to leaders in the Machine Tool Industry about products that can reduce cycle time, improve quality, and reduce costs. Our Customers need to compete with manufacturers all over the world and in addition to providing high quality, cost effective machine tools, SMTCL has developed relationships with large companies to provide special discounts to our customers,” said SMTCL National Sales Representative Chad Turner.

SMTCL displayed a variety of machines including a CNC Horizontal Boring Mill, a CNC Vertical Turning Center, as well as several CNC Vertical Machining Centers and CNC Lathes. SMTCL has such a large product line that they also gave large discounts on manual lathes, radial drills, and manual boring mills.

“In addition to the great values on machines, our customers got to our newest service van. The new Service Van was designed by the world famous “West Coast Customs” in Burbank, CA. Our technicians in Southern California have a stocked service vans with diagnostic tools and machine replacement parts to ensure our Customer’s machines are running efficiently and accurately,” said Jerry McCarty, Chief Operating Officer of SMTCL.

SMTCL is the largest machine tool manufacturer in the world producing 80,000 machine tools each year and has annual revenues of $2.9 billion. SMTCL has over 300 products including CNC boring mills, vertical turning centers, vertical machining centers, horizontal turning centers, horizontal machining centers, gantry type machining centers, pipe threading machines and tapping centers. SMTCL also makes conventional lathes, boring mills, and radial drills. SMTCL has design centers in Berlin, Germany and Shanghai, China as well as multiple factories in Germany and China. The SMTCL-Americas Technology Center is located in City of Industry, California and stocks machines, replacement parts, and accessories. SMTCL has a network of full service distributors in North America who have extensive training, parts, installation, and field service capabilities.
