T-Pole’s industrial PC features integrated battery and UPS

April 27, 2012 By Motion Control Tips Editor Leave a Comment

T-Pole (www.tpole.it) has fitted its mii45 with Ethernet ports ideal for visual inspections using IP cameras and for use with EtherCat.

This core 2 duo box PC features an intelligent power supply that provides full UPS functionality using external or internal battery packs. It offers two isolated digital I/O, 12 VDC auxiliary output as well as an ignition signal, while its battery status can be remotely monitored via TCP/IP.

With the T-Power utility, users can conveniently define the power-on sequences from a vast range of input 9-28 VDC. In addition, the mii45’s power supply has the ability to raise the battery to 13.8 VDC and supply the system from 12 VDC.

The mii45 is fitted in an aluminum case that serves as the heatsink. It is also where the PC board is installed. For dust free operation in various challenging environments, the company has installed the electronic components on both sides while a tunnel allows cool air to flow inside.

The all-new mii45 has been specifically designed with three Ethernet ports, effectively making it ideal for use in industrial automation and control. It also offers a selection of one, two or three PCIe and PCI expansion slots, seamlessly extending its use to applications featuring other fieldbus types. Moreover, the units can be supplied with Windows Embedded Standard 7 (WES7), Linux, Windows Embedded Standard 2009 (XPe) and other operating systems.
