Techno, Inc. Linear Motion Systems (www.techno-isel.com) unveiled its latest one-to six-axis controller unit with 10 in. touch screen, onboard computer, enclosure, I/O, power supply and drives – the latest iMC-V CAN controller. The new iMC-V is compatible with all gantry tables from Techno, rotary tables, belt drive actuators and linear slides and it can be utilized for general automation, welding, routing, drilling, testing, pick and place, assembly and dispensing.

Joe Griffin, Sales Manager of Techno Linear Motion said: “The iMC-V controller is a very modular but complete unit allowing the user great flexibility as to the type and number of axes and amount of I/O. The controller card and all modules communicate via the CAN bus for a modular design. Motors can be brushed or brushless and can be configured from one up to six axes in any combination.”

The latest iMC-V CAN controller has eight digital outputs and 16 digital inputs per unit, which can be expanded to 128 points of I/O via the CAN bus. Also, iMC-V can perform helical, circular and linear interpolation, finally expanding control applications it can be utilized for. The rugged industrial desktop enclosure (“optional frame mount”) with keyboard and 10 in. touch screen make for a robust system that can be operated plant floor. New applications include a six-axis version utilized in the automotive field and a four- axis version utilized to manufacture cosmetics.

The latest iMC-V CAN controller features one- to six-axis, brushless servos, CAN open PCI controller, a complete controller out from the box, on board PC, 16 digital inputs and eight digital outputs analog outputs. It can be used with PRO-NC software (“purchased separately”). It also has an I/O expandable up to 128 points, power supply 1,000 W/48 volts and available in 120 V/ 60 Hz or 230 V/ 50 Hz
