Tritex II DC Powered Actuators offer connectivity and performance

March 12, 2012 By Motion Control Tips Editor Leave a Comment

Exlar Corporation (www.exlar.com) has launched the Tritex II DC Powered line of actuators, which seamlessly integrates control electronics and power with actuators and brushless servo motors in a single compact package.

To set new standards in integrated actuator’s power density, the Tritex II powered actuators merges advanced thermal management modeling with electronic power. The innovative actuators maximize power even in smaller packages without compromising reliability or performance. They offer a continuous force of 1,300 peak, 1,000 pounds and up to 33 in/sec speed, exceeding the speed and force capabilities of other competitive products. By fitting the digital positioner, actuator and servo drive in a single integrated package results to a self-contained motion control solution that eliminates the need for costly feedback cables and servo power as well as large control panels while reducing the labor costs for wiring and mounting.

The Tritex II DC delivers superior connectivity and control as it offers a vast array of I/O capabilities, such an analog I/O, digital I/O and communication busses including Modbus TCP, PROFINET IO and Ethernet/IP. Operating from 12 VDC to 48 VDC, the actuator provides multiple protocol options enabling it to easily connect on the same network’s industrial electronic devices. In addition, its integrated Expert software allows users to easily control and configure the Tritex II DC. With the software’s various modes, manufacturers can initiate control functions, input parameter data, view diagnostics, monitor operations, duplicate configurations and configure I/O in multiple units.
