Vert-X 26-series angle sensors are robust and accurate

November 20, 2025 By Lisa Eitel Leave a Comment

Novotechnik U.S. now offers Vert-X 26-series of non-contacting magnetic angle sensors. These sensors use a Hall effect to track the position of the shaft. Designed for challenging settings where high humidity, dampness, dust and vibrations are expected, these are suitable for automotive, off-highway, and other applications.

The plug-in sensors using an AMP MQ5 six-pole connector.

Measurement range is 0 to 360° and sealing is to IP 69K. The sensors offer up to 16-bit resolution and ±0.2% linearity depending on version. Repeatability is 0.1°and both single and fully redundant versions of the Vert-X 26 Series are available. Output interfaces include 4 to 20 mA, 0.5 to 4.5 V DC, CANopen and CAN J1939.

Vert-X 26 Series sampling rate is up to 5 kHz with an 800 µsec propagation delay for analog output models and 0.5 kHz update rate for digital output models.

Operating temperature range is -4 to +125°C or -40 to +85°C  depending on model selected. Shock and vibration of the Vert-X 26 are 50 and 20 g respectively.
