Xeryon, a Belgian manufacturer of precision piezo motor technology, has introduced the XRT-U-35, an ultra-compact rotation stage for high-precision positioning systems. The stage uses Xeryon’s patented Crossfixx ultrasonic piezo technology and combines a low-profile housing with 40 mNm of torque.

The housing measures 9 mm high and 36 mm wide. A dual-motor configuration provides 40 mNm of torque for driving optical and mechanical assemblies. Rotation speed is adjustable from 0.01°/s to 1080°/s without gearboxes or additional mechanical transmission.
The ultrasonic piezo drive in the XRT-U-35 generates no magnetic field, uses no gears and has no internal components subject to mechanical wear. The design supports quiet operation, low vibration, self-locking position hold when power is off and a service life rated above 10 million revolutions.
An 8 mm H7 central aperture runs through the stage, allowing engineers to route cables, optical fibers or laser beams through the axis of rotation. This can simplify integration into compact systems.
The XRT-U-35 is intended for applications including:
- Semiconductor manufacturing and inspection
- Laser systems and photonics
- Laboratory automation
- Medical devices
The compact form factor and standardized mechanical interface make the XRT-U-35 suitable for applications that require 40 mNm of torque within limited installation space.
