The new Allen-Bradley Kinetix 350 single-axis servo drives from Rockwell Automation (www.rockwellautomation.com) are designed to cater motion scalability.
The servo drives are capable of connecting and operating in tandem with the new range of CompactLogix controllers, and as a result, provides support to integrated motion on EtherNet/IP.
CIP Sync and CIP motion technologies deliver real-time, closed-loop motion control on standard Ethernet. The topology-independent network is efficient in bringing a simplified integration of the entire control solution in just one network, including human-machine interface, programmable automation controllers (PACs), I/O and motion.
With its compact design, the Kinetix 350 servo drives call for less panel space as well as easy to connect. Moreover, reusing code across various Logix control platforms will help users cut on design, installation and commissioning time.
When programmed with the RSLogix 5000 software, the Allen-Bradley Kinetix 350 single-axis servo drive provides a scalable motion system which may be used with the ControlLogix and CompactLogix PACs. It is also equipped with embedded safe torque off.
The servo drives also feature scalable platform optimized to deliver lower axis count systems. It can support 100V and 200V single phase as well as 200V and 400V 3-phase class voltage models
The power ranges are from 400W to 3kW while commissioning time may be decreased through automatic drive identification of MP-Series along with TL-Series motors and actuators.
Rockwell also offers control logic systems, human-machine interfaces, sensors, power devices, drive controllers and software.
