Allient expands its Allied Motion SA Axial Flux Motor series

June 16, 2025 By Rachael Pasini Leave a Comment

Allient recently announced the expansion of its Allied Motion SA Series Axial Flux Motors with a new 63.5 mm O.D. size variant. These motors are designed for low-profile applications, such as camera systems, gimbals, scanners, and imaging equipment. As slotless motors, they have zero cogging torque for smooth, precise motion.

Specification options available as standard for SA axial flux motors:

  • Outer Diameter: 63.5 mm – 1795 mm
  • Scalable Design: Modular approach supports 2+ meters in diameter
  • Inner Diameter: 25 mm – 1541 mm
  • Torque Range: 0.16 Nm – 49.90 Nm
  • Rated Speed: 90 RPM – 6750 RPM
  • Operating Voltage: 12 VDC – 325 VDC

In addition to the standard offering, Allient also provides modified or completely custom solutions of SA Axial Flux Motors. SA motors are easily scalable to large diameters with a seamless transition to a modular construction ideal for large gantry systems such as MRI and CT scanning machines.

Allient showcased its new SA Series at Automate 2025 in Detroit, along with new ElectroFlux Series Torque Motors (for high torque density in a compact, low-profile form factor, ideal for a range of robotics applications); HeiTronX Integrated Servo Motors (that combine high-performance motor with built-in drive electronics delivering compactness, efficiency, and simplified integration) and Integrated Drive Electronics (aimed at streamlining system design, reducing wiring complexity, and accelerating time to market for automation solutions).
