Arnold showcases Western-sourced magnet materials at Coiltech

★ By Puja Mitra Leave a Comment

Arnold Magnetic Technologies Corp. (Arnold), a subsidiary of Compass Diversified and a manufacturer of magnets, ultra-thin metal foils, solenoids and precision components, exhibited at Coiltech Italia 2026 on Sept. 23-24, 2026, in Pordenone, Italy. At Booth 6-A37, Arnold presented Western-sourced permanent magnet materials and its custom electric motor capabilities for electrification applications.

Arnold’s exhibit featured collaborations with Solvay and Less Common Metals (LCM) that support Western-based sourcing of rare earth permanent magnet materials. The company also highlighted its partnership with USA Rare Earth Inc., which includes a mutual sales and distribution agreement intended to support the U.S. supply chain for high-performance rare earth magnet materials. The materials include samarium-cobalt (SmCo) and neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB), which are used in propulsion, sensing and actuation systems for aerospace, defense and industrial applications.

Visitors to Arnold’s booth learned how the company applies its materials, magnetic design and manufacturing expertise to custom electric motor solutions. Arnold develops permanent-magnet and induction motors, along with magnetic assemblies, thin metals and other components used in motor systems. Its materials are used in motors designed for applications that require compact size, lower weight and operation at high speeds and temperatures.

Arnold combines motor engineering with magnet materials, magnetic assemblies and Western-based material partnerships. The company supports projects ranging from material selection and magnetic design to motor development, magnet fabrication and precision assembly. These capabilities help original equipment manufacturers and system integrators address performance, reliability and supply-chain requirements in aerospace, defense, industrial and electrified transportation applications.
