BECKHOFF Automation (www.beckhoff.com) is pleased to announce the release of its all-new C69xx series control cabinet PCs that feature a compact construction with strong aluminum housing.

The C69xx series has up to three independent Ethernet interfaces, which make them ideal to be used as compact CPUs in EtherCAT control systems.

The C6930 and C6920 control cabinet PCs in the same series come with plug-in card extensions for applications that need additional PCIe or PCI cards. This allows the PC to increase its flexibility while keeping its compactness.

Beckhoff’s C6930 and C6920 control cabinet PCs are optionally extendable with the use of two plug-in card slots and can accept PC plug-in cards of up to 190 mm in length.

The 70 mm wider PC housing has a backplane that provides users a choice of two PCI Express slots, two PCI slots or one PCI or one PCI Express slot.

The industrial PCs also feature plug-in card connections located on the top side, and an aluminum cover on the front of the slot expansion allows easy installation of plug-in cards without the need to open the housing.

All PCI fieldbus cards from Beckhoff can be used in the C69xx series, and the plug-in card extension can be ordered optionally.

The C69xx industrial PC series comes with a 3½-inch motherboard from Beckhoff, while the C6930 and C6920 models feature Intel Core two Duo processors. The C6930 also has a SATA RAID controller to mirror two hard disks.
