Delta introduces ASDA-A2 Series AC servo drive and servo motor in India

September 15, 2010 By Motion Control Tips Editor Leave a Comment

Delta Group (www.deltaww.com) is proud to launch its advanced ASDA-A2 series of servo drives and servo motors for network communication and motion control in India. As the motion control’s current trend is to position the control command source near the drive, Delta designed the new series to provide excellent motion control without the need for external controller. The purpose of the new ASDA-A2 series is to meet the requirements of motion control applications in high-precision positioning control and industrial automation.

The ASDA-A2 series comprises a built-in E-Cam function, offering the best solution for rotary cutoff, flying shear and synchronized motion applications. The series also features CANopen interface and PR mode. The new position control PR mode is a significant and unique function that offers several control modes to improve system performance.

The new series also features CANopen high-speed network communication interface of 1M bps, which decreases the difficulties of creating programs in the controllers, as well as achieve multi-axis parallel control. The ASDA-A2’s auto notch filter, full closed-loop control, vibration suppression and gantry control functions help perform complex motions, which require smooth operation and high precision. The new series is designed with a 20bit level superior resolution encoder for precise positioning, as well as outstanding comparing and capturing functions for high-speed pulses, which offer the best support for step-less positioning.

“The need for better precision and position control by the machine makers is driving the motion business’s faster growth in India. This is coupled with the increasing demand for productivity enhancement across segments,” said Manish Walia, Director of Sales Industrial Automation Business Unit at Delta Group (India and SAARC region).
