Franklin Miller introduces Spiralift SC Screenings Conditioner with high-impact Spray-Wash Design

June 1, 2010 By Motion Control Tips Editor Leave a Comment

Franklin Miller, Inc. (www.franklinmiller.com) is proud to announce the release of the new SPIRALIFT SC Screenings Conditioner, which compacts, washes, conditions and cleans screenings. The high impact spray-wash design adds high pressure washing at the drop area between the auger and the grinder. With this new design, the output from the SPIRALIFT is more homogenous and cleaner than ever.

When the screenings are received from the bar screen at the SPIRALIFT SC hopper, they are grounded finely by a heavy-duty TASKMASTER spray washed and grinder. The solids are then drop into the second washing zone for intensive washing even under high pressure. They are then transported to a screw press where the solids are compacted and the contaminants and liquids are drained. The cleaned solids are discharged out of the unit’s elephant trunk to a container or bin.

The new SPIRALIFT SC is freestanding and compact and it can be placed in any tight plant locations. It can also be installed as a convenient retrofit to an existing installation or behind a new mechanical bar screen. The unit can be configured and fixed mounted for portable operation to handle the output from several sources. The SPIRALIFT’s tank enclosure and hopper are made of durable stainless steel. A programmable logic controller (“PLC”) based control system which integrates and monitors the entire system is supplied.
