High-power 10-pole brushless motors from Koford Engineering

June 4, 2020 By Lisa Eitel Leave a Comment

Now Koford Engineering sells two new 10-pole  motors. These high-performance motors are 5.07-in. (129-mm) brushless motors with no-load speeds to:

• 2,866 rpm at 24 V
• 5,760 rpm at 48 V

Both hall sensor and sensorless versions are available.  Winding temperature sensors are offered.  Peak power is 2,502 watts for the 48-Volt unit and 1,126 for the 24 volt unit.  Peak motor efficiency of 92%. The motor uses 180°C rated wire insulation and high temperature epoxy  for the highest durability.

The motor shaft is heat treated stainless steel and the housing is one piece machined from solid aluminum and anodized. Lead wires are TFE insulated.  Compatible hall and sensorless drives are available.   These motors are suitable for robotics, industrial, marine, military, medical, and aerospace applications.
