Intecno unveils new Brushless DC Electric Micro Gearmotor

April 11, 2011 By Motion Control Tips Editor Leave a Comment

Intecno (www.intecno-srl.com) has released its latest line of BLDC brushless micro gearmotors, which completes the company’s lineup of DC micro gearmotors.

“These gearmotors offer ideal solutions for applications in industrial automation, automatic doors and windows, vending, packaging and many others,” said Intecno’s General Manager Moreno Ferrari.

The BLDC brushless micro gearmotors are available in three different sizes, and feature low voltage power supply of 24 VDC. The motors deliver a torque that range between 0.425 in-lbs (0.05Nm) and 3.80 in-lbs (0.43Nm).

“These motors are low voltage which optimizes safety in the work place, particularly in applications where the worker could be in direct contact with the motor,” added Ferrari.

For low cost and compactness, the motors have been equipped with Hall Sensors and can be supplied with an external drive control or an integrated control (IE version).

The motors right angle worm gearboxes are available in two sizes CM30 (30 mm center to center distance) and CM26 (26 mm center to center distance). Its ratios range from 5:1 up to 100:1.

Users can customize the planetary gearboxes to the application due to the possibility of utilizing plastic, metal or material mix versions. The motor is also offered in low noise (LN) version, which minimizes the gearbox noise and making it ideal for medial applications.

The company’s planetary gearboxes offer a vast array of reduction ratios, which range between 3.7: 1 (1 stage) and 2076:1 (4 stages). The planetary gearboxes are maintenance-free since they have already been lubricated with grease.
