Technosoft (www.technosoftmotion.com) has announced that its open frame iPOS servo drives now comes with various plug-in extensions such as the feedback extension module used in absolute position sensors or the EtherCAT communication module.
The all-new EtherCAT Starter Kit offers a ready-to-run solution for testing an iPOS3604 VX or iPOS3602 VX drive using the EtherCAT communication. The Kit features an I/O board where an EtherCAT extension module or a drive can be plugged-in. The I/O board provides easy access to the drive I/O signals through its standard connectors.
The iPOS intelligent servo drives, which is based on Technosoft MotionChip technology, seamlessly combines drive, single-axis motion controller and PLC functionalities into one compact package. The drives can operate as a standard CANopen drive that conforms to CiA 402 without the EtherCAT extension module, or as an EtherCAT slave that supports CANopen over EtherCAT (CoE) protocol. With its integrated motion controller and high level Technosoft Motion Language, the drives can also be programmed to directly execute complex motion programs at drive level.
The EasyMotion Studio platform makes programming in TML easy, as it generates the TML instructions from user-friendly dialogues. This eliminates the need to write or learn any TML code. Aside from reducing the master’s task, TML programming also allows users to reduce the development time of complex applications.
The iPOS360x VX servo drives operate with 7-36 VDC logic supply and 9-36 VDC power supply, offering 2 A continuous and 3.2 A peak (3602), 4 A continuous and 10 A peak (3604).
