Kinetix 6000M integrated drive-motor simplify cabling

August 31, 2012 By Stacy Combest Leave a Comment

Rockwell Automation has combined the technologies of Allen-Bradley MP Series food-grade servo motor with Kinetix 6000 multi-axis servo drive into a compact, on-machine package that allows machine builders to reduce the time spent on wiring while simplifying cabling.

Specifically designed to integrate with the Kinetix 600 as well as Kinetix 6200 multi-axis servo-drive systems, the Kinetix 6000M integrated drive-motor offers significant space savings and machine control system simplification. Its integrated drive-motor power interface module is directly mounted on a standard Kinetix 6000 power rail, while its shaft dimensions and mounting flange is similar to that of the MP-Series motors.

Available in three frame sizes, the drive-motor also comes with optional holding breaks as well as SIL2/PLd safe torque-off functionality.

The Kinetix 6000M integrated drive-motor system is ideally suited for servo motor-intensive applications, such as converting, packaging, print and Web machines. It also features corrosion resistant materials, enhanced sealing techniques and coating suitable for food environments, making it ideal for food and beverage handling and packaging applications.
