Kollmorgen will be introducing their new line of robust stainless steel AKMH servomotors based on the acclaimed AKM series in booth 3118 at Pack Expo 2013 in Las Vegas on September 23-25, 2013. Designed specifically to address the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), these IP69K rated synchronous servomotors feature a hygienic housing designed to meet EHEDG, NSF, BISSC and 3A machinery guidelines. The AKMH Servomotor is constructed with materials to provide long-life and trouble-free operation, even with daily exposure to chemicals and high pressure wash downs. The AKMH requires no additional protection and can be sanitized without covering it or removing it from the machine. Kollmorgen’s Pack Expo wash down IP69K demo tank will feature the new AKMH stainless steel servomotors running real-time in a simulated environment of moving water. With the new AKMH, OEMs can design and build more reliable and productive machines that are easier and faster to clean, thus minimizing unscheduled downtime for end users.
Again this year, Kollmorgen plans to treat Pack Expo visitors with a little fun while they get hands-on product knowledge. Kollmorgen has a new Servo Boxing Robots interactive demo that will showcase our next-generation AKD PDMM programmable servo drive which provides higher throughput and greater machine precision. Kollmorgen will also feature a large scale Servo Tennis video game where participants can rally for the highest score while learning about AKM servomotors, AKD servo drives and the R2A linear actuators. The VT BOLT electric motorcycle and the Segway® PT both containing Kollmorgen technology as an integral part of their functionality will be on display at the booth. Kollmorgen demos promise to show processing and packaging machine capabilities and entertain at the same time.
OEMs and End users are invited to visit Kollmorgen in booth 3118 to discuss application needs and learn more about how Kollmorgen can help them achieve desired results.
