New Dart 65E PWM controller for 12–48V battery equipment

Dart Controls introduces the 65E, a high-performance Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller for 12 through 48-volt battery powered equipment. Rated for 10 to 20 amps continuous current, it features adjustable maximum speed, minimum speed, current limit, I.R. compensation, and acceleration, plus a quiet operating frequency of 18kHz.

The updated Dart 65E includes a reversing option and supports a 12–48VDC operating range selectable via jumper. It features Supply Voltage and Current Limit Status LEDs, as well as current limit shutdown and output. Its surface-mount technology and updated circuitry help reduce voltage drop. Models are available in open chassis and NEMA 4X enclosures. An optional under-voltage lockout helps prevent deep battery discharge, and the Inhibit Input allows for low-power motor shutdown. Suitable for use in portable and solar-powered equipment such as golf carts, pumps, and ventilation systems.

Designed for OEM applications, the new RoHS-compliant 65E offers flexibility and cost efficiency.

Dart manufactures high-performance control for 12-, 24-, and 36-volt battery powered equipment with PWM motors such as power floor scrubbers, smaller personnel carriers, AGVs, agricultural sprayers, and more. This pulse width modulated battery control utilizes power FETs for smooth control. Their advanced design permits a substantial increase in equipment running time between charges over conventional techniques. The adjustable current limit feature protects the control, battery, and motor from sustained overloads. Higher capacity models also feature thermal overload.
