New Extra-Large Bandsaws accommodate large diameter tubing from Behringer Saws

April 9, 2010 By Motion Control Tips Editor Leave a Comment

Behringer Saws, Inc. (www.behringersaws.com) unveiled a new line of bandsaws made to cut and to accommodate large diameter tubing efficiently and quickly, the latest HBP-800XL Semi-Automatic and HBP-800AXL Automatic series Bandsaws. They allow the users to save on upfront capital costs and avoid expenses for additional bandsaws for cutting while extending their capability to cut large tubes when needed.

The HBP-800AXL Automatic Bandsaws have all the capabilities and performance of the standard HBP-800 Series Bandsaws cutting structurals and solid bars to 31.5 inches. Moreover, the new bandsaws allow for the tube to cut up to 39 inches in diameter. Users can now have a lower cost bandsaw for their day-to-day operation cutting needs at a standard size range while using this additional feature to have new projects for cutting large tubes.

Every HBP-800 Bandsaws are made with powerful cast iron frame construction and twin-column parallel down feed design for proper tensioning of saw blade to deliver fast, forceful and efficient low vibration cutting for smooth cuts. Also, these bandsaws have a heavy-duty roller conveyor for efficient and quick handling of heavy materials post- and pre-cut.

HBP-800 Bandsaws have a frequency controlled 14.7 HP main drive motor including a variable speed range between 55 and 393 Surface Feet Per Minute (“SFM” ) that is easily selected at the user’s control panel. The hardened and hydraulic clamping jaws on the bandsaw ensure a precise and steady cuts at all speeds.

Available in both semi-automatic and automatic versions, this bandsaw requires minimal user intervention as it is controlled by a single programmable logic controller (“PLC”). It also features an easy-to-use user’s terminal with program storage, diagnostic display and data entry. Its speed is easily controlled, monitored and set during and before the cutting process.
