ON Semiconductor unveils two new products for industrial sector

November 17, 2010 By Motion Control Tips Editor Leave a Comment

ON Semiconductor (www.onsemi.com) is proud to announce the launch of its two important latest products specifically designed for the industrial market sector at this year’s Electronica.

Designed to enable current and next generation office and home automation applications, the manufacturer’s wide range of industrial devices provides market-leading levels of reliability and ruggedness to support the drive for high efficiency, low power design.

The all-new AMIS-30523 combines a CAN transceiver and a stepper motor driver in one package, two-die device. This one-of-a-kind configuration can be utilized to control several motors of the same type on one bus, and provides important space-saving designs where a PCB real estate is limited or where one PCB mounted on the rear side of the motor is employed. Usual applications include general purpose stepper motors in industrial, automotive, marine and medical environments.

The AMIS-30523, which has a high speed of one megabit per second (Mb/s), delivers seven step modes from full step up to 32 micro-steps.

Meanwhile, the latest NCP1090, NCP1092 and NCP1091 are Power over Ethernet Powered Devices (PoE−PD) interface controller offering reliable and cost-effective integrated detection, ‘hot-swap’ and classification control in applications such as video over IP, voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) and wireless access point (AP).
