Rollon presents AXNR curved motion system at Advanced Factories Expo

April 9, 2025 By Puja Mitra Leave a Comment

Rollon has completed a project for a high-tech company in Europe that specializes in the design and production of electrical wires and connectors. The required system was developed by Nadella, now part of the Rollon Group.

The customer needed a customized curvilinear handling system to transport coils of electric wires through nine processing stations within its factory, while maintaining a cycle time of under two seconds between each stage.

As manufacturers in Spain continue to adopt automation technologies, Rollon will exhibit a compact and efficient linear motion system at this year’s Advanced Factories Expo and Congress in Barcelona.

Visitors to the Rollon stand will discover how the company’s Nadella AXNRQ curvilinear system can transform complex handling applications – including the recent success story with the European high-tech manufacturer of electric wire and connector systems.

AXNR refers to the modular curvilinear guide system, which is flexible and can be designed in any custom shape to fit specific paths and applications. The circular-style setup used for the project was AXNRQ.

As well as strict speed criteria, the project also had two other critical requirements: sufficient load capacity to handle coils of varying weights (8, 10, or 12 kg), and the ability to be installed on a 10-meter-long support structure already present inside the manufacturing facility.

Rollon Nadella engineers proposed the AXNRQ circular system in ring configuration due to its ability to meet the key operational demands of the project, such as offering high load capacity with robust guide rollers, optimized acceleration and speed, and a space efficient design.

Solutions for Spain’s automotive, electronics, and industrial sectors

The project demonstrates the kind of intelligent, space-conscious automation which is increasingly required in modern production environments – particularly across Spain’s automotive, electronics, and industrial sectors.

As well as the Nadella AXNR circular system, visitors to Rollon’s stand at Advanced Factories will also discover H-Bot, a highly versatile gantry system designed for applications requiring minimal footprint and maximum efficiency. Additionally, Rollon’s extensive range of linear and telescopic guides, linear actuators, and rotary systems will be on display, demonstrating the company’s commitment to optimizing automation processes.

Rodrigo Ruiz, sales manager at Rollon, will present updates on Rollon’s product offerings and the myRollon platform. Rollon has adopted digital tools to improve the product selection and configuration process for customers. The company developed myRollon, a digital platform that supports engineers in specifying linear and rotary motion solutions.

Rollon will present its innovative motion solutions designed for industrial automation, from Apr 8 – 10 at Advanced Factories, Fira Barcelona, Gran Via, Hall 4, Booth 4B280.
