Saelig introduces R-LITE transmitting information to cell phones

May 24, 2010 By Motion Control Tips Editor Leave a Comment

Saelig Company, Inc. (www.saelig.com) is proud to announce the release of the latest R-LITE family. It is an easy-to-use GSM/GPRS remote monitoring system, which ensures crucial information to be directly transmitted to your mobile phone (“or optionally to a secure website”). It can also automatically transmit real-time information at scheduled intervals, or queried simply thru an SMS inquiry. Compact and lightweight, R-LITE has one RS232/Rs485 connection, one digital output, 2 analog/Digital inputs and two digital inputs. Its internal quad-band GSM modem, with its user-friendly application software, permits configuration and maintenance to be done either locally, remotely through mobile phone or modem, or locally via cable.

R-LITE can be utilized as standalone unit with direct inputs, or connected to a programmable logic controller (“PLC”) for controlling I/O lines and registers in the PLC. The R-LITE is a very versatile communication application for PLCs, to support Hostlink, Unitronics, Modbus and other serial communication protocols. This new tool can serve as a mobile phone gateway for a PLC, to enable complete, mobile phone communication and control, interactive, or for downloading saved data files.

Moreover, using R-LITE Web, direct measurement of remote sensors and devices can be done through GSM/GPRS, by sending logged data straight into a secure Web browser. SMS can simultaneously send crucial data to a mobile phone, giving urgent information instantly. The Data locally logged to R-LITE Web’s internal 32K NVRAM with a rate of almost once a minute and sending it to the online Web server through the cellular network (“GPRS”). Its supplied HMI software is made to support several application areas and can be specifically tailored to the project needs.

The new R-LITE family gives 24/7 global communication coverage for SMS alert messages, SMS I/O settings and SMS I/O inquiries.
