Covina, Cal. – QuickSilver Controls Inc. has added the capability to operate DC motors and voice coil motors, with either incremental or analog feedback, to their SilverSterling™ controller line. 

The extension of capabilities allow a mix of motor types within the same system, sharing the communications and programming facilities as well as the advanced tuning and wide inertial matching provided by their PVIA™ control algorithms.

The analog feedback capability is compatible with BEI-Kimco Voice Coil actuators with integrated feedback capability, as well as DC motor linear actuators providing linear feedback. The incremental feedback can be used with both incremental encoders and Hall-effect feedback.
