Electric motor and gearmotor manufacturer Bison Gear & Engineering Corp. (www.BisonGear.com) has launched a new range of 34 frame integrated intelligence brushless servo motors that feature a maximum torque of 195 in oz (1.38 N-m) — the ServoNOW.
Specifically designed to allow OEMs and specialty machine builders to quickly and easily incorporate motion control in their applications, the ServoNOW motion control system effectively reduces cost, installation time and wiring complexity as it offers a closed loop brushless servo motor with an integrated driver, feedback device, controller and 110/220VAC universal power supply in one compact package.
With a standard PC, the new motion control system can be easily monitored and programmed via a built-in USB port. ServoNOW’s QuickLaunch software control program enables it to easily integrate up to 32 index motion profiles in positioning or velocity. It also offers 4096 counts position resolution, four programmable digital inputs and outputs as well as analog I/O (4 to 20MA or 0 to 10VDC, 12 bit).
“Bison is committed to expanding its presence in the motion control market with truly differentiated products,” remarked John Morehead, Vice President, Strategic Planning and Marketing at Bison Gear.
“The Bison ServoNOW systems align with that objective and are a nice complement to our recently introduced AUTONOmotor sensorless brushless product line, as well as our acquisition of the Von Weise of Canada low voltage brushless DC business. We will continue to introduce such innovative, market-driven products this year as part of Bison’s celebration of 50 years of excellence with thanks to our valued customers, suppliers, channel partners and associates who have contributed so much to this achievement.”
The five new ServoNOW integrated brushless servo systems are suitable for various specialty machinery applications that include packaging equipment and factory automation.
