Ultra Flexible Silicone Cable for Severe Environments from Cicoil

September 21, 2011 By Miles Budimir Leave a Comment

Valencia, Cal. – Cicoil’s High Flex Unshielded Silicone Cables are designed for applications that require absolute reliability in severe environments. Cicoil’s unique silicone extruded cable is unaffected when exposed to extreme temperatures (-65°C to +260°C), vibration, flames, water, UV light, ozone, radiation and most chemicals. This combination of features makes Cicoil’s High Flex Unshielded Silicone Cable the ideal choice for just about any application.

Cicoil’s exclusive crystal-clear silicone encapsulation is tear-resistant, needs no external “armor” or conduit for protection, and will not deform or wear during a lifetime of more than 10 million cycles, even under tight bending radius and high speed flexing conditions. These halogen-free cables are an excellent alternative to bulky round and stiff PTFE, Polyurethane & PVC jacketed flat cables.

Cicoil’s UL recognized, RoHS compliant & CE conforming wire is manufactured in an automated, climate-controlled environment, and exceeds the NASA 1124 outgassing specifications for space use and vacuum requirements. The cable is also 100% contaminant-free, as it is rated for Class 1 clean room use.

Standard “off the shelf” High Flex Unshielded Cable (4 AWG to 30 AWG) is available from stock in continuous lengths, cut to order, or as assemblies, complete with connectors of your choice, 100% tested and inspected.  For additional abrasion resistance, Cicoil offers anti-friction coating options by request.
