Galil’s EDD EtherCAT slave drives now offers TwinCAT Support

June 13, 2019 By Lisa Eitel Leave a Comment

The EDD-3701x EtherCAT slave drive (part of Galil’s EtherCAT Family of products) now communicates seamlessly with any TwinCAT EtherCAT master — as well as with Galil’s DMC-500×0 and DMC-52xx0 EtherCAT master drives.

The EDD-3701x drives have the ability to control either brushed or brushless servo motors, steppers, and microstepping motors. The EDD-3701x is also equipped with eight digital inputs, four digital outputs, two analog inputs, and two analog outputs. All I/O information from these drives are available to the EtherCAT master, reducing the need for separate EtherCAT I/O devices.

Galil’s powerful software package GDK simplifies the EDD-3701x setup. GDK’s step by step tool leaves no room for error. For more information, visit galil.com.
