New Kübler slip rings for the packaging industry

October 6, 2015 By Lisa Eitel Leave a Comment

Slip rings deliver rotary transmission of energy, signals and data between stationary and rotating platforms in myriad designs, including those in the packaging industry.

Now, the new Kübler SRI085 slip ring can transmit up to three load and three signal channels. Inductive signal channels make this slip ring nearly maintenance free. The SRI085 is fully encapsulated against ingression of abrasive dust. It is easily serviced and can be cleaned with a damp cloth or flowing water. IP64 protection means the sip ring also withstands strong water jets. More after the jump.

Packaging machines today operate continuously and must deliver faster production speeds and efficiencies than ever. The high rotary speed of the SRI085 — 800 rpm — withstands high speeds without difficulty. A load current to 25 A allows quick heating for optimal temperature regulation, even for short contact times. Flexible and easy SRI085 slip-ring installation provides the best transmission of load, signal, data and pneumatics to satisfy industry needs.
