Registration open for IMTS 2018

June 12, 2018 By Paul Heney Leave a Comment

imts logoRegistration is now open for the IMTS 2018 Conference, a platform for manufacturing education at IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show. The IMTS 2018 Conference features 69 sessions over four days, Sept. 10-13, at McCormick Place, and covers information that’s current and actionable for all manufacturers: manufacturing process innovation, alternative/additive manufacturing, plant operations, systems integration, Industry 4.0/lloT and quality/inspection/metrology.

“There’s no better way to get so much vetted, non-commercial insight and best practice information from credible experts, industry leaders and technical professionals, all in one building,” says Bill Herman, Director of International Exhibitions and Sponsorship for AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology, which owns and produces IMTS.

The IMTS Conference is organized into 55-minute sessions to assure that visitors can easily attend sessions without taking too much time away from the show floor.

“Many attendees choose to buy the four-day pass, allowing them to attend a variety of conferences on different days. They split their time between the conferences and the exhibition floor, which is a great way to go about it,” says Herman. A one-day pass costs $275, a four-day pass is $475 and conference registration includes exhibit hall access for all six days of IMTS, which runs Sept. 10 – 15.

Session abstracts submitted by exhibitors are evaluated by editors from GIE Media, an IMTS media partner, to ensure that they provide non-commercial insight and best practice information from credible experts, industry leaders and technical professionals. “Contracted exhibitors present on a variety of topics that cover industry needs and breakthroughs,” says Herman. “These aren’t product pitches. Conference sessions are technical deep dives that apply directly to the daily activities of engineers. That said, CEOs and shop owners often attend process-oriented sessions so they can keep an eye on industry direction, notably as it relates to additive manufacturing and Industry 4.0.”

All IMTS Conference sessions will be held in the West Building – Level 1 of McCormick Place. Visitors may register for conferences and check for specific session topics, times and room numbers by going to imts.com/conference.
